Coronavirus: A Message to MCL Customers

January 20, 2021

Due to new state restrictions, all Mid-Columbia Libraries branches are open for contactless curbside pickup and returns only. All library buildings remain closed to the public until further notice.

To ensure safety for staff and the public, please note:

  • Wear a face mask when using curbside pickup.

  • All returned items are quarantined for 72 hours; they will remain checked out to your account during this time.

The health and safety of library staff and customers is of the highest importance. The library is complying with all restrictions and safety requirements from the State under the "Healthy Washington–Roadmap to Recovery" plan. In it, libraries in Phase 1 regions are "permitted to provide mail and curbside services to customers." Libraries in Phase 2 regions are permitted to provide limited services to customers in-person. Currently, all MCL branches are in Phase 1 regions. We look forward to offering in-person services as soon as we are permitted to do so.

We do not charge overdue fines.
