Job Posting - Customer Service Specialist (36 hours/week)

Location: Pasco

Status: Part-time

Closing: Thu, 10/06/2022 - 5:00pm

Hours of Work: 36 hours/week; Tuesday-Friday with two closing nights and Saturday's 12-5pm

Salary Range: Starts at $18.64/hour (2022 Salary Schedule - CSS classification)

Job Summary:

Our Pasco team member will be a dynamic customer-focused individual with the desire to engage library visitors of all ages in the discovery of great books, while also supporting customers using computers and personal devices in the library. 

Minimum Qualifications:

We are currently seeking an energetic, customer service orientated individual with the following qualifications:

  • Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college, plus two years of library (or customer service) experience, including public contact   
  • Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
  • Must also be able to obtain a valid Washington State driver’s license
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish)

Desired Qualifications: 

  • Previous outreach experience, including experience working with organizations serving children their families, and/or the community
  • Knowledge of technological devices (such as eReaders) and their application
