Salary Range: $4,732 ‐ $6,230/month

Job Summary:

Mid-Columbia Libraries (MCL) is seeking a Librarian for our central library, the Kennewick Branch. The Librarian will perform professional level duties including: assisting the public in using library materials and resources; developing and presenting regular storytimes; developing programs, presentations, and opportunities for community outreach; acting as a liaison to over 25 Kennewick K-12 schools, including planning and implementing on-site school tours/visits, offsite school events, and promoting summer reading programming; partnering with our centralized programming department to support system goals; developing and presenting training to the public and staff; and developing web-based materials and services.

Regular Work Hours:

Tuesday - Saturday schedule; Some evenings

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have a Master of Library Science degree or MEd endorsed for Library Media and a State of Washington Librarian certificate. No experience is required; however, two years of professional library experience is desirable or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
