Job Summary:

Mid-Columbia Libraries is seeking a community-focused leader to serve as Branch Manager II for our central library, the Kennewick Branch. The Branch Manager II plans, organizes, and manages our largest library (over 900,000 items circulated and 58,000 computer sessions in 2019) in accordance with the mission, budget, policies and procedures of the Mid‐Columbia Libraries (MCL).  In this position, the Branch Manager II will act as a liaison with the local community; plan and promote library programs, services and resources; manage library staff; monitor library and collection usage; and resolve customer concerns. Based on projects and programs assigned, will oversee a team of approximately 20 union and non‐union employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have a Master of Library Science degree and State of Washington Librarian certificate with at least three (3) years of experience, including two (2) years of lead or supervisory experience desired or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience.
