Job Summary:
Mid-Columbia Libraries (MCL) seeks an Advocacy & Development Manager to join our team as we seek to innovate and grow valuable relationships and partnerships in communities across our service area. This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone who is an excellent communicator and connector to step into a leadership role. As a creative leader you will execute advocacy, fundraising, and relationship development plans, events, and strategies necessary to achieve community support and involvement for MCL per the strategic plan. This will include the need to develop and proactively maintain contacts and relationships on behalf of MCL with individuals, government organizations, businesses, elected and appointed officials, and non-profits to expand the reach and impact of MCL.
Minimum Qualifications: Successful candidates will have a bachelor‘s degree from an accredited university, a minimum of five (5) years of community relations and fundraising experience, proven leadership experience in event planning and implementation, volunteer management, and in developing successful relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, government organizations, businesses, elected and appointed officials, and non-profits. Experience in the preparation and administration of grant proposals is highly desirable.
