Job Summary:

Mid-Columbia Libraries (MCL) seeks an Advocacy & Development Manager to join our team as we seek to innovate and grow valuable relationships and partnerships in communities across our service area. This role provides an exciting opportunity for someone who is an excellent communicator and connector to step into a leadership role.  As a creative leader you will execute advocacy, fundraising, and relationship development plans, events, and strategies necessary to achieve community support and involvement for MCL per the strategic plan. This will include the need to develop and proactively maintain contacts and relationships on behalf of MCL with individuals, government organizations, businesses, elected and appointed officials, and non-profits to expand the reach and impact of MCL. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Successful candidates will have a bachelor‘s degree from an accredited university,   a minimum of five (5) years of community relations and fundraising experience, proven leadership experience in event planning and implementation, volunteer management, and  in developing successful relationships with volunteers, stakeholders, government organizations, businesses, elected and appointed officials, and non-profits.  Experience in the preparation and administration of grant proposals is highly desirable.

Job Posting - Customer Service Specialist

Location: Connell

Status: Part-time

Hours of Work: 6 hours/week; regular Saturdays

Salary Range: $17.29/hour

Job Summary:

Our Connell team member will be a dynamic customer-focused individual with the desire to engage library visitors of all ages in the discovery of great books, while also supporting customers using computers and personal devices in the library.  

Minimum Qualifications:

We are currently seeking an energetic, customer service orientated individual with the following qualifications:

• Associate of Arts degree from an accredited college, plus two years of library (or customer service) experience, including public contact  
• Or equivalent technical training, education, and/or experience
• Must also be able to obtain a valid Washington State driver’s license

Desired Qualifications:

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
• Knowledge of technological devices (such as eReaders & tablets) and their application
