Too Cute for Words

While I have no children of my own, I've always had a soft spot for picture books. It's amazing to see the stories that can be created with just a few words and some gorgeous or silly pictures. I've included a few of my favorites to share with the children (or kids at heart) in your life.

Mustache baby

My Thoughts

This is the first in a darling series of books. All of them are cute and silly, with charming art and positive lessons about how we all have bad days but should strive to be good.

The pigeon has to go to school!

The pigeon must go to school, but frets about math, learning the alphabet, heavy backpacks, and what the teacher and other birds will think of him.

My Thoughts

I've always been a fan of Mo Willems and The Pigeon, but this one just might be my favorite. It's a great read, especially for those who are entering school for the first time.

Bunnies!!!

My Thoughts

This and the sequel are some of the cutest books I've read. The art is adorable and features very few words, which makes it perfect for even the youngest readers.

Mother Bruce

My Thoughts

This was recommended to me by a customer, and it is absolutely adorable.

My Thoughts

Based on a true story, this is a sweet story of two male penguins who fall in love at the zoo and become the adoptive parents of a penguin chick. The art is gorgeous, and the story is incredibly heartwarming.

The missing piece

A circle has difficulty finding its missing piece but has a good time looking for it.

My Thoughts

The first in a series of books by one of my favorite authors, it tells the story of someone who spends their life searching for their missing piece only to find they're actually happier on their own.

The rainbow fish

Pfister, Marcus.

The most beautiful fish in the entire ocean discovers the real value of personal beauty and friendship.

My Thoughts

This was one of my favorite books when I was little with a valuable moral lesson. This story teaches readers that uniqueness is something to be celebrated.

We don't eat our classmates

My Thoughts

This book has the cutest art ever, is very fun and humorous, and teaches the reader to look at things from a different perspective.

Owly and Wormy, friends all aflutter

My Thoughts

I'm a fan of all the Owly & Wormy books, but this one is especially cute. And, as a plus, it has no words and adorable artwork, perfect for the youngest readers-to-be!
