Audiobooks changed my life. Really. They got me reading again because if you know me, I am constantly on the move and always looking for a new project to take on so I really don't make a lot of time for myself to just sit down and relax. I am a self-proclaimed busy body. Access to reading in this way has changed the game for me. Find me in the kitchen making dinner, hiking Badger, sewing my Halloween costume, or even pulling the never ending weeds in my garden with my headphones in listening to my latest read. But friends beware: I am now that person that wants to talk to you non-stop about my favorite reads and get you listening, too. Sorry. 😊

Books

I LOVED THIS BOOK. I cannot recommend this book enough. 100/10. One million stars.

OKAY! You do NOT have to be a sci-fi fan to enjoy this series! "The Murderbot Diaries" are FANTASTIC. I am not a huge sci-fi reader at all, but a friend recommended this series to me purely based on the narrator and central character. The robot is clever, always wanting to just watch his TV shows, and will have you laughing while immersed in an out-of-this-world landscape. I have not been able to stop myself from rushing through the series. This is book one in the series, and they are quick listens.

I want to give a trigger warning for this book. It covers some dark topics including sexual abuse and grooming. However, I really loved this book, and I enjoyed the narrator.

This was a pretty decent thriller in my opinion. I didn't see the ending coming, so that was a fun surprise. And, it takes place in Seattle!

Everyone should learn more about STDs, in my opinion.

This book blew my mind.

I thought this was going to be a light read, but it had some great elements surrounding mental health, which I deeply appreciated.

I recommend listening to this book before listening to Barrack Obama's "A Promise Land" because Michelle's book has some details that fill in for his book. They compliment each other really well.

At 29 hours, this audiobook is a BEAST. But, so worth it. It was my first book over 12 hours, so I am very impressed with myself to have finished it before it was due.

I had no expectations for this book and it was a storyline that I needed to listen to at the time that I did.

This series had me hooked from the first couple of chapters! It is a trilogy with lots of listening time ranging from 20-29 hours each book, but don't let that scare you. You will be too consumed by the storyline and lose track of time.

I've always been curious about mythologies around the world. This is an intriguing listen and Stephen Fry makes it all the better.

I love it when books are narrated by the author!

If you're dipping your toes into audiobooks and want a captivating listen, this book may be for you! The narrator does an excellent job creating unique voices and bringing the personalities of the characters alive. The plot and story are also very engaging. This book is a must-listen!

Another title with an excellent story and fantastic narrator to bring the characters to life.

This has been on my must-read list for quite some time and I am sad it took me this long to get around to listening! A powerful listen.
