Your opinion counts! Public survey for new library

Mid-Columbia Libraries will open a new library in West Pasco in 2013 per a renewed 10-year contract with the City of Pasco that begins in 2011.

To plan for the new library, Mid-Columbia Libraries asks residents to give feedback about the new facility by completing a brief survey available in library branches and online at www.midcolumbialibraries.org.  Residents will be asked about what is most important to them in the new library, what would make them most likely to visit the new branch, and how they currently use libraries.  All questions are multiple choice and the survey takes only a few moments to complete.

“Library services in Pasco and Franklin County continue to be heavily used, and we are excited to bring a new library to the booming West Pasco region in 2013,” said Interim Executive Director Kyle Cox.  “It is important we get honest feedback from all parts of our community – it’s their library and we want to meet, if not exceed, their expectations.  We hope our customers and residents will share their dreams for what their new library should be.”

The survey will run throughout September, 2010.  Results will be presented in the fall during a regular meeting of the Mid-Columbia Libraries Board of Trustees.
