Mid-Columbia Libraries to Host Bestselling Author J.A. Jance

Kennewick, WA – Mid-Columbia Libraries will host bestselling author J.A. Jance for a public book discussion and signing the week her newest novel is released.  On Thursday, July 29, Jance will discuss her upcoming novel, Queen of the Night, scheduled for release on July 27.  Barnes & Noble Booksellers will be present to sell books, with a portion of proceeds designated to Friends of Mid-Columbia Libraries.

Currently, there are more than 25 million copies of Jance’s novels in print and her books consistently appear on national bestseller lists, including the New York Times, USA Today, and the Wall Street Journal.  Now upon the publication of her latest work, Jance returns to the story of the Walker Family in which the horrors of two grisly murders threaten to destroy three families.  Jance imbues her Walker books with the stories and rich culture of the Tohono O’odham Nation.  Jance spent several years teaching and living on the Tohono O’odham reservation west of Tucson.

Jance is now the New York Times and internationally bestselling author of the J.P. Beaumont series, Joanna Brady series, and Ali Reynolds series, as well as four standalone thrillers.  In 2000, Jance was awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters by the University of Arizona.  Jance is an avid crusader for many causes including Gilda’s Club, the Humane Society, the YWCA, and the Girl Scouts.  She splits her time between Seattle, Washington and Tucson, Arizona with her husband of twenty-four years.  A lover of animals, Jance has two dogs, Aggie and Daphne, named for Agatha Christie and Daphne du Maurier.
