Mid-Columbia Libraries' Executive Director Appointed To Library Council of Washington
The Executive Director of Mid-Columbia Libraries, Kyle Cox, has been appointed by Secretary of State Sam Reed to the Library Council of Washington. He will represent public libraries serving over 100,000 people. Cox was hired in 2005 as Communications Director. In 2008, he was promoted to Administrative Services Director. He served as library system’s Interim Executive Director from June 2010 until being hired as the permanent Executive Director in December, 2011.
The Library Council of Washington was formed to promote access to library service and information resources for all citizens of Washington State. The work of the Council is important to the library community in its advisory role for the development and execution of the federally funded program of library service in Washington.
