LIBRARY BOARD TERMINATES EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Kennewick, WA—At the May 17, 2010 regular meeting of Mid-Columbia Libraries Board of Trustees, the Board voted to dismiss Danielle Krol as Executive Director, effective immediately. Ms. Krol was dismissed without cause, as allowed by her contract. Ms. Krol began as Executive Director of Mid-Columbia Libraries in 2004.
“This was not a decision the Board made lightly; we carefully deliberated prior to making this choice. It was a difficult decision. However, we ultimately feel the decision was made in the best interests of Mid-Columbia Libraries,” said MCL Board Chair Gloria Garcia.
“We know MCL is in good hands under the direction of the Executive staff. We have full faith in their leadership, skills, and abilities,” Ms. Garcia added. Until further notice, Administrative Services Director Kyle Cox will serve as Mid-Columbia Libraries’ Person-in-Charge.
“The Board plans to meet in the near future to further discuss the direction Mid-Columbia Libraries will take for our top leadership role,” said Ms. Garcia.
