Mid-Columbia Libraries has continually provided Bookmobile services since 1949.   For many years, Bookmobiles served the rural, unincorporated parts of Benton and Franklin Counties.

Today, the Bookmobile provides library services to the City of Mesa, early child-care providers and elementary schools, and provides services in rural areas of the Mid-Columbia region.  The Bookmobile has three goals:  Children 0-5 years of age will have the resources they need to be ready for school; Children 6-12 years of age will enjoy materials and programs that stimulate their imaginations and provide pleasurable reading, viewing, and listening experiences; Adults will have the resources they need to explore topics of personal interest and continue to learn throughout their lives.

Look for the Bookmobile at major events, fairs, and parades.

Bookmobile materials are checked out for a 42 day period.  Materials returned after this time are overdue.

Overdue books are charged at a rate of $0.20 per day.  Overdue DVDs are charged at a rate of $1.00 per day.
