Children are giving

Love and Felt Pieces

Can you tell a story over and over again?  Can you keep the children excited about the Billy Goats Gruff and the Troll who is as mean as he is ugly?

Read with a child . . .

It’s the most important 20 minutes of your day.
Have you heard of The Children's Reading Foundation?  You might have one in your community.  Your local Children's Reading Foundation can help make sure your child is ready for kindergarten.  The Children's Reading Foundation will help you make this fun!  You’ll find ways to bond with your baby, engage with your older children, and keep your family close through the books you read together.

It's a small world after all

Night falls. A little boy and his grandma peer into a dark room.  “Abuelίta, el cuycuy!” exclaims the little one.  His grandma turns on the light and tells him the story about the boogeyman or “cuycuy”.

Repetition Highway

Attention Parents!  Slow down for construction!  Your baby’s brain is building pathways and turning them into highways!

Please Ask, Babies Can't Wait

Children grow and change so quickly!

It's back to work we go!

New moms and dads need to get back to work soon after baby arrives.  Have you ever wondered how you can find a safe, healthy, childcare for your child?

Circle Time - Yes You Can!

Why can't parents sing and tell stories each day?  Of course we can, but why don't we?  Are we daunted by our lack of singing experience? Our poor reading voice?  Having a hard time reading the picture book while holding the pictures up for all to see?

Creative Opportunities

Childhood is a time when we nurture creativity and opportunity.

Babble and Scribble

A baby babbles, trying to be part of the important talk Mommy is having with the doctor. A pre-school child scribbles in a book, trying to write like Daddy.  These are big steps in children's lives.  Language, reading and writing all develop at the same time and depend on each other.  This begins even earlier than most of us can believe.
